The Passing of Robert Nelson

Juggler Robert Nelson, a.k.a. The Butterfly Man, died on August 27, 2012.

I'm not familiar with the juggling community, and I admit that my knowledge of jugglers of renown consists mainly of Viktor Kee and Anthony Gatto. But from what I've read of Robert Nelson, it is clear that a legend of juggling has left us.

My respects to the Nelson family, and the juggling community.

The Ballerina Stunt

Move over, Nik Walenda. As far as I'm concerned Faith Dickey has officially claimed the title of the most badass walker of all things rope.

I'm not even going to say anything else. Just watch...

If you're anything like me, chances are your socks have been knocked off. Dickey's skill is obvious, and the video is beautifully edited (I love the shot of her in the trucker's side mirror). It's a nail-biter, and it's awesome. Hats off to you, Miss Dickey. Hats off.

Ladies and gentlemen, there's no tiptoeing around it. I've been slacking. I returned from my trip to South America two weeks ago and I've barely posted a thing! I admit it, I am tired. I'm presently in creation/rehearsal for a new show that will be premiering in a week, and it is kicking my ass.

I realize that may be a terrible excuse, so hopefully the fact that I've been feeling kind of bad about not posting makes up for it a little.

Hopefully I'll get a little more written content up in the near future. In the meantime, enjoy this photo of Mikhail and Ludmila Lalashvili.

 Unlike me, their slacking is acceptable.
