There's Bendy, and then There's This

I don't know who this is, or where he came from, but hot damn he is a bendy fellow!

Ring In the New Year With Cirkopolis

Get it while it's hot, folks! For what I can only presume is a limited time, Arte is showing pretty much the complete version of Cirque Eloize's latest production, Cirkopolis. Enjoy it while you can!

Special Snow Post!

It has been snowing up a storm here! Just plain snow storming, really. So what better time to share a classic piece of circus?

Ladies and gentlemen, Slava's Snow Show!

Beyond Kawaii

If you're anything like me, there is a severe lack of dinosaurs doing German wheel in your life. Fortunately, the Japanese seem to be getting the situation under control.

If you love the circus of days gone by, you are going to love this video of Princess Tajana on trapeze!

Totally Bent

Contortion is not my favourite discipline, but I dare say this woman has made me reconsider my opinion. I love her costume, and the contrast between her look and the music. I've seen contortionists who are technically stronger, but I find her creative, angular postures, paired with her fierce stage presence, absolutely enthralling. Beautifully done!

The Flying Dutchman

Who can forget Epke Zonderland's mind boggling gold medal winning high bar routine at the 2012 Olympics? Well, it looks like the Flying Dutchman isn't through knocking our socks off just yet...

Mother of God...

Forget trampo-wall. In fact, forget everything you've ever witnessed in circus. Hell, forget about even being in the circus because nothing you do will ever be as mind-boggling insane as this.

P!nk For the Win

P!nk performed at the American Music Awards last night and all I can say is, daaayum! P!nk sang the song Try while performing an acrobatic pas de deux with partner Colt Prattes. The piece was choreographed and coached by Sebastein Stella.

If she was nervous to perform an emotionally charged acrobatic dance piece while singing, she sure didn't show it. All I can say is huge respect. Huge. She just put most hand-to-hand couples I know to shame (artistically, of course) and quite frankly, I think I might need to up my game as well.

Wonderfully choreographed, beautifully performed, and emotionally raw and powerful, this is an artist that deserves our attention.

The Ballerina Stunt

Move over, Nik Walenda. As far as I'm concerned Faith Dickey has officially claimed the title of the most badass walker of all things rope.

I'm not even going to say anything else. Just watch...

If you're anything like me, chances are your socks have been knocked off. Dickey's skill is obvious, and the video is beautifully edited (I love the shot of her in the trucker's side mirror). It's a nail-biter, and it's awesome. Hats off to you, Miss Dickey. Hats off.
